Since 1959, House of Embers has prided itself in its fine family tradition. That was the year that Wally and Barbara Obois opened the restaurant that since has become one of the best food places in the Wisconsin Dells. Wally decided that his new restaurant would be famous for hickory smoked BBQ ribs, which he perfected a technique that is still in use today for this tender delicious BBQ entree. Barbara, not to be outdone, came up with the formula for incredible cinnamon rolls that are also now famous.
There are an array of other fine menu selections including grilled pizzas, shrimp and crab stuffed filet mignon, coconut shrimp, Austrian veal, salmon with pesto and gourmet sandwiches just to name a few. Barbara's famous cinnamon rolls, salad dressings, sauces and desserts are made in house from scratch, and it shows. The eclectic bar and supper club atmosphere features over 21 Martinis and weekend entertainment. House Of Embers is a casual to fine dining restaurant, and guests feel comfortable with either attire.
